1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Remitae ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Remitae is an automated invoice reminder service that helps businesses manage and send payment reminders to their clients. The Service includes:

  • Invoice management and tracking
  • Automated email reminders
  • Payment status tracking
  • Dashboard analytics

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Ensure you have the right to contact the email addresses you add
  • Not use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications

4. Business Identity and Authorised Use

When you set up a business name on Remitae, that name is displayed on automated reminder emails sent to your clients on your behalf. By entering a business name you represent and warrant that:

  • You are authorised to operate under or represent the business name you provide
  • The business name is not used to impersonate, mislead, or falsely represent any other person, company, or organisation
  • You will not use the name of a government agency, financial institution, or other well-known entity to deceive recipients of reminder emails

We reserve the right to verify your business identity and may ask for documentation (such as a business registration or domain ownership) at any time. Accounts that cannot verify their business identity when requested may be suspended.

5. Acceptable Use

You must not use Remitae to:

  • Impersonate another business, organisation, or individual
  • Send fraudulent invoices or payment demands to which you are not entitled
  • Conduct phishing, social engineering, or any form of financial fraud
  • Send communications that are deceptive, threatening, or harassing
  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights

If we determine that your use of the Service violates this section, we may immediately suspend or terminate your account without prior notice. If you believe your account has been suspended in error, please contact us at support@remitae.com to request a review.

6. Email Communications

By using our Service to send invoice reminders, you confirm that:

  • You have an existing business relationship with the recipients
  • The recipients have an outstanding invoice with your business
  • You are authorized to send communications on behalf of your business

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We collect and process data as described in that policy.

We collect your IP address and location metadata for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement purposes. Details are provided in the Privacy Policy.

8. Billing and Pricing

We may update our prices, subscription fees, or plan features from time to time. Any changes will apply prospectively to future billing periods or new purchases. Where required, we will provide reasonable notice before changes take effect. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect service availability.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Service, including but not limited to lost revenue, business interruption, or data loss.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time through the Settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
